Attempt Burglary

Good afternoon to residents of the Bournville Ward.

28/7/26 at 00.24am on Franklin Road, 2 unknown masked suspects have jumped over the side gate into the rear of the address. Suspects have initially tried drilling the lock on the back door but after failing and causing damage have tried to force one of the kitchen windows open. IP has awoken come downstairs and turned light on causing suspect to leave.

Crime prevention advice :

Replace your locks with an Anti snap barrel, they are easy to fit and low cost. Have you considered a Camera Door bell for the rear of your properties as well as the front. Sensor lighting is also extremely effective.

We are continuing our patrols around the area.
